Ready or not, here it comes! Another holiday season upon us, another year come and gone. It is frustrating some days having 4 children home from school, and cooped up in the house, but their excitement for Santa makes my heart melt!
Even with the holiday rush over, there is a lot of work to be done over these next few weeks. I have new crayons to get to listed and samples to make for Sampler Village. I am preparing for Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter and school parties. I plan on creating and assembling a fundraiser packet and a crayon recycling contest. Also, as a PTA mom and carnival committee member, I will be reaching out to my fellow vendors and crafters for donations. It will also be a great advertising opportunity. More information to follow.

First and foremost, it is important that we as consumers support handmade vendors and crafters. These small businesses face fierce competition with large, well-known companies and are striving to make it in a tough economy. Our communities will not grow and succeed without the help of its’ fellow members.

Good morning! Today is the last day of school before winter break, so I have two school parties to attend later. What an exciting time for all the children! It is amazing how quickly the holidays sneak up on us every year. I have been swamped with things since October and it is really having an effect on me physically and mentally. I have to take a step back every now and again to relax and remember the true reason of the season- the birth of Jesus Christ. I hope you all can do the same!
